1999- Win. Willard, Tremont-Peoria
Win, a member of the NHPA for 38 years, has played in
tournaments throughout the state and can be counted on to attend the State
Meeting, contributing ideas that have helped the Illinois Chapter remain
one of the strongest in the nation. Win is a regular at the State
Tournament, and he and his wife Verla will always be found keeping score
when the need arises.
Win is a member of leagues in Tremont and Peoria, and
doing whatever job that needs to be done. He is always the first to arrive
and the last to leave when tournaments are held, and has been known to sit
out so another pitcher could participate. The Tremont League has juniors
who can count on Win for good advice and words of encouragement. Last year
Win and others spent many hours putting in 30ft. pads.
Wins nominating letter was signed by eight members of
the Tremont and Peoria Horseshoe Leagues.
