Resume. For Hall Of Fame. 1987 Charles "Dusty" Rhoades -White Hall, Illinois

 He started pitching in P. E. class in high school, in the early 3O's.He bought his first pair of shoes in 1937, pitched his first tournament at McLean County 4-H show, finished second. In 1956, after getting married in I940 to his wife Harriet, and starting a family, he began pitching in tournaments in a big way. His first big tournament was in Galesburg, IL 1957, he has pitched in tournaments in and out of the state ever since. Pitched in the State Fair every year since 1957 except 3, was in the Illinois Sports Farm Festival 12 times, Pitched in singles and doubles. He has pitched in 8 World Tournaments in various states, when not pitching he was always willing to keep score at any tournament world, state, or local. He has helped to run tournaments at County Fairs, Picnics, and Sports events. Me is pitching in 2 leagues, and as marry tournaments as he can now. He helped to promote and build the horseshoe courts in his home town in. The last few years. and he is director of all the tournaments each year, doing this with a big smile and a quick joke, and in doing, has made many friends for in his efforts. He has helped to plan and build courts in 3 other towns, the last one in Mesa, Arizona this past winter.
